Dr. Khoury uses Restylane®, a long-lasting injectable treatment, to reduce or eliminate deep wrinkles and add volume to facial features. Restylane® is frequently used to correct the horizontal wrinkles that can occur between the eyebrows and the deep lines that can develop from the sides of the nose down to the corners of the mouth.

Restylane® is an FDA-approved, synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the human body. Restylane® does not cause allergic reactions in patients.

Before a Restylane® treatment, patients are sometimes given a local anesthetic to help prevent any discomfort that might occur. Dr. Khoury administers Restylane® to the targeted areas with a fine needle. Depending on the size and number of areas to be treated, treatment can take several minutes to a half hour.

Results from the injections become fully apparent approximately one week after treatment and can last for up to six months or more. Though Restylane® treatments are long-lasting, they are temporary, as are other injectable treatments, and the patient will eventually require touchup treatments. Dr. Khoury can administer Restylane® in the privacy and comfort of his Office Surgery Center.
